Model blocks and columns
The schema panel models a block. It describes structure and presentation, not the entry data — and, depending on the plan, access rights.
Switch to work mode Model. The panel appears above the entries.
1. Block
Section titled “1. Block”General block properties:
- Name
- Description
- ID prefix
- Display columns
2. Views
Section titled “2. Views”Each block has at least one default view. All views share the same records.
In the schema panel you set:
- Name
- Icon
- Description
- Default view
- Create and delete
Column visibility, filters, sort, and grouping are set in the entries toolbar of the block view.
Gallery (tiles)
Section titled “Gallery (tiles)”When you create or select a Gallery view, the Gallery settings panel appears below the views table:
- Cover column — which Image (or URL) column appears on the tile
- Title column — tile headline; otherwise the block display name
- Tile size — Small, Medium, or Large
Available on Professional and Cloud plans. Details: View.
3. Columns
Section titled “3. Columns”Defines the block structure. Per column, among others:
- Name
- Column type
- Required
- Type options (for example select values, link target block)
Reorder by dragging. Type details: Column types reference.
For gallery covers, add an Image column and select it as the cover column in Gallery settings.
4. Permissions (Cloud)
Section titled “4. Permissions (Cloud)”Which organization roles may work with the block:
- Read
- Edit data
- Model
- Run review
- Publish
The matrix covers Owner and Member. Available on the Cloud plan (and Enterprise by agreement). On Single and Professional the section shows an upgrade dialog.
