Model blocks and columns

The schema panel models a block. It describes structure and presentation, not the entry data — and, depending on the plan, access rights.

Switch to work mode Model. The panel appears above the entries.

General block properties:

  • Name
  • Description
  • ID prefix
  • Display columns

Each block has at least one default view. All views share the same records.

In the schema panel you set:

  • Name
  • Icon
  • Description
  • Default view
  • Create and delete

Column visibility, filters, sort, and grouping are set in the entries toolbar of the block view.

When you create or select a Gallery view, the Gallery settings panel appears below the views table:

  • Cover column — which Image (or URL) column appears on the tile
  • Title column — tile headline; otherwise the block display name
  • Tile size — Small, Medium, or Large

Available on Professional and Cloud plans. Details: View.

Defines the block structure. Per column, among others:

  • Name
  • Column type
  • Required
  • Type options (for example select values, link target block)

Reorder by dragging. Type details: Column types reference.

For gallery covers, add an Image column and select it as the cover column in Gallery settings.

Which organization roles may work with the block:

  • Read
  • Edit data
  • Model
  • Run review
  • Publish

The matrix covers Owner and Member. Available on the Cloud plan (and Enterprise by agreement). On Single and Professional the section shows an upgrade dialog.
