Baseline
A baseline is a deliberate, immutable full state of the complete base.
It is a mark: you choose which state should be documented as binding. A baseline is not created automatically when you Push your state to the team.
What is included
Section titled “What is included”A baseline covers the full configuration and data of the base, including:
- Blocks and columns
- Entries and values
- Relations
- Views (where part of the state)
What baselines are for
Section titled “What baselines are for”- Document a binding state
- Make audits and approvals traceable
- Reopen and compare earlier full states
- See changes since the last marked state
Distinctions
Section titled “Distinctions”| Working state | Push | Baseline | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Changeable | yes | updates the team state | no (mark) |
| Purpose | day-to-day work | share with the team | binding snapshot |
| Question | What applies now? | Can others see my state? | How did everything look then? |
A review checks visible entry content and produces its own report — it is neither Push nor Baseline.
