Short text stores short single-line values such as names, codes, or short labels.

When modeling
Section titled “When modeling”- Open a block and switch to Model mode.
- Add a column and choose type Short text.
- Set the name; optionally mark required and set a default.
When maintaining data
Section titled “When maintaining data”- Switch to Maintain data mode.
- Open an entry or edit in the table.
- Enter the short text in the single-line field (for example “Information security policy”).
