Organizations and databases
In the cloud, Baseline uses organizations (tenants). Organizations and cloud bases require the Cloud plan — see Plans and access.
An organization can use Baseline for several business domains — for example ISMS, CRM, or test management.
Why separate databases?
Section titled “Why separate databases?”When domains should be backed up, migrated, or governed independently, Baseline stores them in separate PostgreSQL databases. That keeps data and operational risk isolated.
Within one purpose database you can still have multiple bases.

The backend system database (bl_admin_01_system) holds users, organizations, and memberships — not the domain bases themselves.

Section titled “At least one purpose database”When you create an organization you also set the purpose of its first database. Additional purpose databases can be added later if the organization uses Baseline for more domains.
